The MCR Safety VL2 Safety Glasses, with MAXBLUE lens technology, block 41% of Blue Light.

Many jobs require the use of handheld devices, smartphones, RF scanners, or other portable gadgets. All these devices emit blue light, which is known to cause eye fatigue, headaches, and migraines. Many of these jobs are also indoors, and until recently, those needing to block a significant portion of blue light had to use amber lenses. The downside of amber lenses, aside from their yellow tint, is that they distort color recognition.

With MAXBLUE lens technology, a worker can wear a clear lens that has a very faint mirror hue while still blocking 41% of blue light and maintaining color recognition. Pretty incredible!

FROM THE PICTURE ALONE THESE PICTURES APPEAR TO BE TRANSPARENT AND STANDARD. HOWEVER THEY DO HAVE A SLIGHT AMBER TINT TO THEM THAT HELP ALLEVIATE EYE STRAIN FROM CELL PHONE AND COMPUTER USE. I'M ON THE COPUTER THROUGH WORK ANYWHERE BETWEEN 5-8 HOURS PER DAY AND THEY DO HELP. A WORD TO THE WISE THOUGH, THE ULTIMATE REMEDY IS TO TAKE BREAKS AWAY FROM THE MONITOR FREQUENTLY EVEN IF THESE GLASSES ARE BEING USED.

My eyes are extremely light-sensitive and these glasses are the first relief I have had. I bought them because of the blue-blocking lenses, mostly for computer use, but find myself wearing them all day and evening. They also look terrific on.
